Rob Ferreira High School is proud of the unity, spirit, and memorable performance reflected in last year’s Matric Serenade. This special occasion was founded to celebrate the matric class of 2025 who, due to COVID, never had the opportunity to perform a Rookie Concert in Grade 8. The need to create a lasting memory for this special group arose and that is how the Matric Serenade originated. Learners came together in song with enthusiasm and heart, inspiring the start of a new tradition that will continue to create memories and celebrate the unique bond amongst matrics for years to come.

Matric Serenade at Rob Ferreira High School is a meaningful and memorable tradition where a group of matric learners get out of their comfort zone, have fun and celebrate their final year. It is the first time that many participants take to the stage, and it is a special opportunity to share their voices, friendship, and school spirit.
Through music and performance, Matric Serenade becomes a heartfelt expression of the journey they have shared and the milestone they are now reaching together.
This tradition creates a warm and uplifting atmosphere, allowing learners to take part in something that is both celebratory and deeply meaningful. It highlights the bond between the matrics, the joy of their final school year, and the lasting memories they are creating as a group.
Matric Serenade is therefore not only a performance, but also a beautiful way of honouring friendship, tradition, and the unique spirit of the Robbies matric class.
