Een van Hoërskool Rob Ferreira se strategiese doelwitte is die Identifisering en Ontwikkeling van talent. Tesame hiermee ook geleenthede om dit te beoefen. Dit stel ons in staat om aan 3 Interhoëre in 2 provinsies deel te neem. Vanweë ons diepte in atlektiek kry ons nommer 3 en 4 atleet ook nou ‘n kans om aan ‘n Interhoër deel te neem en daarmee saam die geleentheid vir ontwikkeling en volle erkenning. Dit motiveer weer ons kinders tot so ‘n mate dat ons skool met die inset van ‘n atleet wat 3de  of 4de geplaas was ons skool in staat stel om daarmee Interhoëre te wen. Ons praat dus nie hier van ‘n A of B span nie. Dus kry ons atlete so kan om te rus en te roteer dat ons kinders nie ooreis word nie. Dit bevorder positiwiteit, deelname, lojaliteit en trots.

To identify and develop talent is one of the strategies of Rob Ferreira High School. Further included in this strategy is of course to create opportunities to practise these talents. This enables us to participate in 3 Inter High Athletics meetings held in 2 provinces. Considering the great number of athletes, our number 3 and 4 athletes can also now be included to compete in an Inter High team. This enables these athletes to not only develop, but also receive full acknowledgement.

Receiving these benefits, in its turn motivated our number 3 and 4 placed athletes to participate and this resulted in our school’s win of two of the 3 Inter High’s over the past years.

Note that there is no mention of an A or a B team. The large number of athletes makes for a rotation of athletes, allowing for competing athletes to rest and avoid exhaustion. All of this ensures positivity, participation, loyalty and pride.
